Deionizers

A deionizer removes dissolved minerals from water using cation-anion exchange resin. Acid and caustic are required for regeneration. 99%+ purity can be achieved using this process.

Water Filtration

Filtration is used to remove suspended particulates from water. Unlike dissolved minerals, these particulates are usually visible.

Various types of filtration can be used, depending on the requirements. These include:

* Media filtration (sand, multimedia, carbon, etc). This type of filtration can be generated by backwashing.

* Cartridge and bag filters are made of various materials and require frequent replacement.

* Centrifugal separation removes dense particulates that have sufficient mass to be spun out of the water.

* Other, more sophisticated filtration is available for specific applications.
